The Boots Of The Hunter
Artwork created by Pii Daenen for the "Floriade" of 2012 in Venlo. The Floriade is a large international exhibition and garden festival, held every 10 years in the Netherlands. The boots symbolize the Farmer - a down-to-earth and hardworking person wearing rubber boots. The Boots of the Hunter was originally located near the entrance of the Floriade, but afterwards displayed in Venlo at the Maasboulevard (Op De Kop van De Weerd). Last time I was there they were gone - I have no idea where they are now 🙂 (2017)

Zefke Mols
Anton Pieter Joseph Mols, in and around the town of Sittard he was better known as "Zefke Mols", was a notable folk figure who was a wanderer most of his life. Until his death in 1955 (at the age of 81), he lived in and around Sittard where everybody knew him. Even today the people of Sittard will remind him, as can be seen in this spraypaint drawing on a door.

Who's A Good Boy?
This friendly yet MASSIVE doggy can be seen at Landgoed Strijthagen. This bulldog is one of the many XXL-sculptures created by Russian sculpturer Alexander Taratynov, who has started art centre "Artland" in Kasteel (Castle) Strijthagen. The estate is open to the public and is a nice green environment within the urban area of Parkstad (Limburg, The Netherlands). (2019)
