Animals & Wildlife AllAachen (DE)Heinsberg (DE)Sittard-GeleenStein Meerkat A small meerkat on the lookout at the Alsdorf Zoo (Tierpark Alsdorf) - a small zoo north of the city of Aachen. It's free for everyone, you just pay a few Euro's for parking. It's not a huge park, but large enough to spend an hour or two. There's also a nice playground, so kids will always have a good time 😉 (2019) Fluffy? One of the wonderful birds of prey at WIldpark Gangelt (right on the border of The Netherlands and Germany). Yes, not truly wildlife, but the park is respectful towards the animals that live there giving them plenty of space and a good environment. And it's a great location to practise wildlife photography, something I don't do a lot 🙂 If you're in the neighborhood, it's worth a (half a) day visit. (2013) Can I Have Some Too? A couple of camels curious to see if visitors have something yummy to eat in Kasteelpark Born, a small but nice zoo in Limburg, The Netherlands. (2014) Nubian Floppy ears, horns and a thick coat, this African Nubian goat is one of the many great animals at the Euregiozoo (which is also known as Tierpark Aachen) (2017). No.38 Curious ewe and her lamb near Meers (Stein. Limburg). (2004) Horses A couple of friendly horses in a meadow in Oud-Urmond. (2004) Want to frame these photos? You can buy physical prints!
